Zaiden is a dynamic force on the court, a relentless competitor who thrives in an up-tempo game. His ability to turn defense into instant offense is ruthless, stripping opponents and sprinting the other way for easy buckets. Zaiden's shifty handle and explosive first step allow him to carve through defenses with ease, putting defenders on their heels as he attacks the rim. With a well-paced game, Zaiden controls the tempo, using his speed and craftiness to create opportunities for himself and his teammates. When Zaiden’s number is called, he is ready for it and doesn’t hesitate to play with an edge, ready to break down defenders and finish with confidence.
Zaiden is averaging 12.5 points, 2.4 assists, 2.3 steals, and 2.6 rebounds per game, with his confidence as a scorer has been his biggest improvement. In conference play, he elevated his production, posting 17.8 points, 3 assists, 3.1 steals, and 2.6 rebounds per game, proving he’s capable of stepping up when he plays better competition. Zaiden’s focus this offseason is improving his three-point shot, knowing that adding a consistent perimeter threat to his game will make him even more dangerous. The fire that fuels Zaiden isn’t just about individual success, but it’s the energy of seeing his team clicking, playing hard, and having fun together. That passion pushes him to be better, to make sure his squad is locked in, and to keep adversity from shaking their confidence.
This summer, Zaiden will be playing with the Mid Missouri Phenom, and his goal is to make an impact and draw the attention of college coaches. He’s most excited for the Made Hoops tournament in St. Louis, hyped to go up against high-level competition and put his skills to the test. Zaiden's AAU goals go beyond wins as he wants to make himself and his teammates better, stepping up as a leader and showing his ability to compete at the next level. The best advice Zaiden has ever received is, "Don’t let anyone get in your head and mess you up because you know how good you are." With that mindset, it keeps Zaiden locked in, focused on proving himself every time he steps on the floor.
I assess that Zaiden’s ability to dictate pace, apply relentless defensive pressure, and create offense in transition makes him a true two-way guard. His explosive first step, shifty ball-handling, and finishing ability make him a tough cover, and as his three-point shot continues to develop, he’ll become even more lethal. Zaiden's tenacity on defense and ability to disrupt passing lanes show his high motor and impact on both ends. While he’s still growing into his frame, Zaiden's confidence and skill set are already proving he belongs in high-level competition. His ability to adapt, handle adversity, and thrive in high-pressure moments will be key in earning interest from college programs. As he continues elevating his shot and playmaking ability, there’s no doubt he has the tools to succeed at the next level.
