Devin is a triple-threat punisher with a smooth shot from outside with an explosive off-the-bounce mid-range shot and can finish at the rim. Devin is a master of the change-in-pace hesitation move which then helps him to beat quicker more athletic defenders off the dribble. Devin also sacrifices his body to draw fouls on the perimeter and around the basket. He is also crafty and creative at getting to his spot while setting his defender to impose his will.

This past season Devin averaged 15.5 points, 4.5 boards, and 2 assists while shooting 53% from 2 and 38% from 3, earning his 2nd All-District first team. Devin's biggest area of improvement has to be in the weight room. The weight room is such a big part of what sets good players apart from great players. It helps to be able to take those hard hits and finish strong through contact. Last season Devin broke his hand with around 11 games left to go in the season. Ever since then, Devin felt that he had something to prove, playing with a chip on his shoulder. Devin has lived in the gym and the weight room trying to come back better than ever and to be a standout player this year.

Going into next season Devin wants to be the District MVP and believes this is something that is his to lose. Devin also hopes to be averaging 20+ per game while leading his team to win 20 games this season with a goal of reaching the Substrate game. The past 2 years they have been bounced out in the Region and Devin is ready to bring a change and break that trend.

Playing AAU for the Tennessee Tigers, Devin's main focus this summer was to have a great summer while expanding his game. Also, Devin's big focus this summer was to get on college coaches' radars understanding AAU is a huge part of the recruiting process. Devin achieved all of his goals, this summer having 10+ colleges reaching out and saying that they are very interested in him and that his game was great. The Tigers, run an excellent organization that allows and puts Devin in great spots to be seen, as he was able to expand his game by being more of an outside threat. Devin was a knockdown shooter for them. Also Devin has been able to get more comfortable with contested shots and shooting on the move, understanding as a shooter you have to be able to create your own shots, because very rarely will you get a wide-open shot. Combine all this with Devin's IQ he has grown tremendously.

The thing that fuels Devin's fire on the court the most is his love for the game and his desire to be the hardest worker out there. Devin feels when you love something as much as you love basketball you are going to want to be the best you can possibly be at it. Leaving it all out there with no regrets, because you never know when it will be your last.

When adversity comes Devin's way on the court, he stays calm and takes a deep breath knowing what’s about to happen may not be easy but he is always up for a good challenge. Devin will take it head-on because he sees there is no other way that he should deal with it.

Any coach that looks at Devin can expect an excellent work ethic, also they should know he will live in the gym, be willing to dive on the floor for loose balls, willing to do the dirty work that some other guys are not willing to do and give it 110% every time he steps on the court. On defense Devin will do a good job walling up and giving a good contested shot, the thing he always thinks about on D is “nothing easy”.

Devin sees himself as a D2-D3 caliber player, but is open to playing anywhere no matter what, having an extreme love for the game, and at the end of the day, Devin just wants to play.

I assess that Devin is a lock and a great fit for a D2. With his insane work ethic and passion to develop more as he continues to expand his game, he could have an instant impact and push himself even higher to the next level. With all that he brings I push Devin to dream big and put in the work to live big and thrive anywhere he feels he can go. Devin is gifted in many ways and has a grit and swagger that just needs to take him as far as he wants to go. Y’all this gem could be another special talent on the verge of breaking out and becoming one of the top players in his entire class. Keep a close eye on his journey, I know I will.
