Zion is an electric force on the court, mixing shifty ball-handling with fearless scoring and relentless energy. Zion is a ruthless attacker at the rim; he thrives on contact, finishing through defenders with crafty step-throughs and athletic finishes. His ability to create off the dribble makes him a nightmare for defenders, and when they try to cut off his driving lanes, he counters with high IQ decision-making and playmaking ability. Beyond his scoring, Zion is a versatile contributor, pulling down tough rebounds, delivering sweet dimes, and locking in defensively to disrupt opponents. When Zion is in rhythm, he can flat-out take over a game, raining down shots from deep and overwhelming defenses with his relentless skill set, playing like a man among boys.
This past season, Zion showcased his ability to take over games, averaging an impressive 27 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per contest. His biggest improvement was his scoring efficiency, proving he can put up numbers in any situation. Zion's offseason goals are to improve his jumper and improving his consistency from deep are his top priorities. Zion also recognizes the importance of boxing out to dominate the glass even more. After leading his team to a perfect 12-0 record last season, he’s locked in on an even stronger campaign next year. This spring and summer, Zion will play for the Michigan Dream and Flint Affiliation, determined to boost his exposure and earn scholarship interest on the AAU circuit.
Zion thrives off the energy of competition, especially when opponents try to rattle him with trash talk. Instead of backing down, it fuels his fire, pushing him to elevate his game and take over when it matters most. When adversity strikes, Zion meets it head-on with even more intensity, leaving everything on the court. The best advice Zion has ever received from a coach is to "stay humble at all times because things can go left fast." This advice keeps him grounded, ensuring that no matter how high he soars, his focus remains sharp.
I assess that Zion’s fearless scoring, crafty finishing, and shifty playmaking make him a serious asset for any collegiate program. His ability to attack the rim with power and finesse forces defenses to collapse, opening opportunities for teammates and creating high-percentage looks. Zion's versatility allows him to impact the game beyond scoring; with his rebounding instincts for a guard are amazing and his ability to dish out assists makes him a well-rounded offensive weapon. As Zion continues developing a more consistent jumper and refining his off-ball movement, he will become an even greater scoring threat at the next level. Zion's competitive edge, resilience in the face of adversity, and ability to elevate his game in big moments will fit well and impact the program. With his work ethic and mindset, Zion has the potential to be a game-changer at the next level.
