Hunter is a combo guard with a relentless scoring mindset and a game that’s designed to make defenders uncomfortable. He’s explosive with the ball, confident from anywhere on the court, and thrives off his ability to break defenders down one-on-one. Whether he’s pulling up from deep or attacking downhill with fierce aggression, Hunter doesn’t just score but punishes at will. His three-level scoring is smooth and instinctive, and what sets him apart is his ability to do it at any moment. With the ball in his hands, he becomes a constant threat, forcing defenses to adjust and leaving defenders second-guessing every move.
After spending most of last season behind a group of seniors, Hunter didn’t get the minutes he felt he earned, but instead of folding, he used it as fuel. Every time he stepped on the court, he played like he had something to prove. The biggest improvement in his game was scoring on-ball, evolving from a catch-and-shoot specialist into a primary shot creator. His focus moving forward is expanding his athleticism to become more of a physical force, racking up dunks, protecting the rim, and holding his own against bigger guards. That chip on his shoulder drives him, and it’s turning him into one of the most overlooked yet dangerous guards in his class.
Now playing with TNT Hoopsquad NT, Hunter is locked in on making a name for himself during the AAU season. He’s looking forward to the LIVE HoopGroup Jam Fest in Manheim, PA, ready to prove to coaches that he’s not just talented, but ready for the next level. His goal is to show colleges that he can produce and that all he needs is a shot. At a recent tournament where he was a clear standout, Hunter averaged 15.2 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.1 rebounds per game, showcasing his all-around offensive impact. In his most recent outing, he dropped 12 points, dished out 4 assists, and pulled down 2 rebounds, continuing to build momentum heading into a critical stretch of the AAU season.
What fuels Hunter's fire the most is becoming a problem. The type of player that recks havoc on opponents every minute he is the court . When facing adversity , Hunter responds with poise, slowing the game down, staying grounded in his confidence, and sticking to his principles. The best coaching advice he’s ever received is, "let the game come to you. And when it does, he takes full advantage".
I assess that Hunter is a dynamic scorer with a competitive edge, fierce instincts, and a never-satisfied mentality. His ability to create offense out of nothing and stretch defenses makes him a valuable asset for programs looking for an instant-impact guard.
As he continues to build his athleticism and embrace leadership, Hunter’s ceiling rises with each game. With his chip-on-the-shoulder attitude, three-level scoring ability, and fierce work ethic, he’s not just a hidden gem but a game-changer waiting to be unleashed. There is a storm brewing in Florida, and its name is Hunter. Stay tuned.
