Carter is a dynamic triple-threat scorer who becomes a nightmare for defenders when he goes into attack mode. With lightning-fast blow-by speed and elite finishing around the rim, he punishes defenses with his crafty, athletic moves in the paint. Carter complements his inside game with a smooth shooting touch that stretches well beyond the arc, making him a complete offensive weapon. He’s also a tenacious rebounder, showcasing a knack for mixing it up on the boards.
Last season, Carter proved his worth as a full-time starter, helping lead Centennial to a 17-11 record. He topped the team in field goal percentage (57%), ranked second in both +/- and three-point percentage (39%, hitting 46 of 119 attempts), and averaged 6.67 points per game. During AAU play with Team McKnatt, his offensive impact grew even more, with a 14-point-per-game average. Notably, Carter’s offseason work has transformed him into the team’s leading rebounder, pulling down 5.5 boards per game. Defense, once a relative weakness, has significantly improved through film study and focused training.
This season, Carter and his team are laser-focused on achieving postseason success after consecutive early playoff exits. They’ve set an ambitious goal of reaching 20 regular-season wins while prioritizing playoff resilience. Carter credits the team's dedication in the gym and the leadership of head coach Jeremy Moore, whom he regards as the best in the state, for their readiness to meet these challenges. Teammates Daniel Patton and Ryland McKelvy add firepower to a roster that Carter believes is capable of making a deep run.
Carter has already racked up notable achievements, including wins over state champions Independence (TN) and Buckhorn (AL), highlighted by a game-winning shot. He’s featured prominently on “players to watch” lists but remains hungry for greater accomplishments. Rivalry games like the “Battle of Franklin” fuel his competitive fire, and his belief in the team's potential keeps him motivated.
Off the court, Carter is relentless in self-improvement. Whether it’s extra hours in the gym after a tough shooting night or studying film to refine his understanding of opponents, his work ethic is unmatched. Guided by the wisdom, “You are either humble or about to be humbled,” he maintains a grounded mindset, refusing to settle for anything less than his best.
While he has not received college offers, conversations with programs like Lipscomb, U of Evansville, and Trevecca reflect his growing reputation. His lethal shooting and athleticism are qualities that translate well to the next level, positioning him for a breakout season that could open even more doors.
Carter’s ultimate goal? To leave the game without regrets, knowing he gave everything to maximize his potential. With his skills and drive, this season could mark the beginning of something truly special. Stay tuned.
