His instincts are sharp, and his ability to read the defense is surgical—threading pinpoint passes, creating open looks for teammates, or slicing through defenders for explosive finishes at the rim. Rhett is a crafty floor general who plays with poise and creativity, constantly keeping defenders guessing. His handle is tight, his decision-making is elite, and his ability to control the pace makes him a dangerous weapon both in transition and the half-court. Whether it's raining threes with a silky smooth touch or taking contact on a drive and still finishing strong, he delivers in moments that demand toughness. His feel for the game is well beyond his years, and his natural leadership ability shines through every play.

As a sophomore starter, Rhett averaged 11 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1.7 steals per game while shooting over 35% from three showcasing his versatility and efficiency. Defensively, he made a major transformation this season, becoming one of the top defenders on the team. Once seen as a weak spot, defense has turned into one of his biggest weapons, landing him among the team leaders in both steals and blocks. His relentless commitment to growth also showed up in the classroom, where he earned All-Conference Academic honors, pairing brains with his basketball brain. His offseason focus is building more explosiveness, increasing his strength, and becoming a true three-level scorer by improving his already solid off-the-dribble attack. His motivation is the feeling of momentum after taking a charge or converting an and-1—moments that fuel his fire and light up the court.

Rhett plays for Waukee Jam this AAU season, aiming to make waves on the circuit and get noticed by college coaches. His sights are set on NXTPro Nationals in Orlando from July 19–27, where he plans to showcase everything he's added to his game. With his evolving skill set and competitive fire, he’s coming into the summer ready to turn heads and take the next step toward his first offer. He’s eager to bring the lessons and confidence gained from this AAU grind back to Creston next season, where he’s hungry to test his progress against top-tier high school competition.

Off the court, Rhett keeps things balanced by staying grounded in the things he enjoys beyond basketball. But when it’s time to compete, he attacks every situation, especially adversity, with composure and resilience. Whether the shots are falling or not, he’s diving on the floor, fighting for position, and setting the tone. The best advice he’s ever been given is “You can’t coach effort.” That mindset has become his foundation and he brings heart to every minute he plays.
