Ryder is a gritty, blue-collar dynamo who brings relentless energy and fire to his team. He thrives as a playmaker, always looking to elevate those around him. His hood court vision and high basketball IQ allow him to thread the needle with dazzling dimes, setting up teammates in perfect scoring positions. But don’t mistake him for just a passer; Ryder is a crafty downhill scorer, fearlessly attacking the rim and finishing over bigger defenders. On the defensive end, his instincts shine as he anticipates passes, steps in to take charges, and dives on the floor for every loose ball. His hustle is contagious, fueling the team with every effort to play.

This past season, Ryder's biggest improvement was his confidence, which translated into an even more fearless approach to the game. Ryan's ability to battle against bigger, stronger opponents while finishing at the rim was a testament to his toughness. Now, he’s locked in on two key areas: getting stronger to handle the physicality of the next level and continuing to develop his outside shot. Already working toward a near 40% three-point shooting clip, Ryder is proving that he’s not just a threat in the paint but a sniper from deep who forces defenses to respect every inch of the floor. Playing varsity as a freshman and competing in high-intensity environments only validates he belongs on this stage.

Ryder’s fire comes from making game-changing plays, whether it's drawing a charge in a crucial moment or swinging momentum with a defensive stop. Ryder doesn’t rely on words to make his presence felt; he lets his game do the talking. Ryder meets adversity head-on, unfazed, knowing his work speaks louder than anything else. The best advice Ryder ever received fuels his approach every time he steps on the court: "You belong at this level, so go out there and do what you do." That belief pushes him as he works to develop into a leader and his pursuit of earning all-district recognition.

As Ryder continues to evolve, it's clear he’s the kind of player every team needs. The one who does the dirty work, sparks momentum, and refuses to back down.

Ryder is a tenacious competitor who thrives on causing chaos and embracing the physical side of the game. Ryder's court vision, passing, and willingness to sacrifice his body set him apart, making him a valuable asset on both ends of the floor. With his near 40% three-point shooting, Ryder adds another dimension to his game, keeping defenders on edge whether he’s attacking the rim or pulling up from deep. As he continues to build strength and elevate his shooting, Ryder will become an even bigger problem for defenders. Ryder’s ability to lead by example and step up in big moments makes him a coach's dream. My assessment is with continued development, Ryder is on track to make a huge impact at the high school level and beyond.
