Gabe plays the game with an electric energy that commands attention. A lethal shooter with a fearless approach, he is always hunting for the next opportunity to drain a three or sacrifice his body for a charge. His offensive game is smooth and relentless, whether he's burying shots from deep or setting up teammates with sharp passes. But it's his defensive tenacity that sets him apart, standing his ground and taking charges like a warrior in the paint. His style is ruthless, his focus unwavering, and his hunger for impact undeniable.
This past season, Gabe put up 10 points per game while adding 2 rebounds and 2 assists. His biggest improvement was his shooting, where he became far more efficient, knocking down shots at a higher rate and proving himself as a true scoring threat. His defining moments came when he drilled five three-pointers in a game four different times, helping lead his team to victory on each occasion. Heading into the offseason, Gabe's priority is becoming a lockdown defender, elevating his game on the other end of the floor to match his offensive firepower. With an eye on the OKC Prep Hoops Tournament, he’s aiming to showcase his full arsenal and get on the radar of college coaches, hoping to earn his first offer. Next season, he's determined to take his game to another level, aiming to average around 15 points per game and push his team toward a state tournament run.
On the AAU circuit, Gabe plays with a chip on his shoulder, stepping onto the floor each game with something to prove. His ability to hit shots under pressure and his willingness to put his body on the line make him a nightmare for opposing teams. Gabe's goal for AAU is to prove he belongs on the college basketball radar. Every game, every possession, he plays with the mindset of an underdog ready to rise.
Off the court, Gabe enjoys the balance that life outside of basketball provides. Whether it's hanging out with friends, watching highlights of the game’s greatest shooters, or finding ways to keep his competitive edge sharp, he stays engaged with the sport while allowing himself to enjoy the moments away from it.
What fuels Gabe’s fire on the court more than anything is taking charges. In his eyes, it’s the best play in basketball and a momentum-shifter, a statement of toughness, and a direct way to impact winning. When adversity hits, Gabe stays grounded in his journey, reminding himself of the early mornings, late nights, and relentless work that got him to this point. He knows he belongs because he’s earned it. The best coaching advice Gabe has ever received is "Why come in here and not go hard? You don’t get anything out of that. Come in here and work as hard as you want to breathe, that’s what it takes to win". That fuels his work ethic, pushing him to give everything he’s got every time he steps into the gym.
I assess that Gabe's skill set offers immediate value to any college program looking for a shooter who thrives under pressure. His ability to space the floor and knock down shots efficiently makes him a natural scoring asset. Beyond his shooting, his willingness to take charges and make hustle plays showcases a level of toughness and sacrifice that coaches love. As he continues to sharpen his defensive abilities, his potential to become a two-way player grows even stronger.
Gabe has the potential to become a dangerous offensive weapon at the next level. As he continues to develop his defensive presence and build on his playmaking ability, he will evolve into a complete guard capable of making an impact on both ends. With his work ethic and fiery competitiveness, the stage is set for an exciting future, one that could see him emerge as a key contributor at the collegiate level.
