Devin is a dynamic triple-threat sniper with electric bounce and crafty speed. Devin has a high IQ and can score in a variety of ways. Devin's first step is a killer, and once he explodes off the bounce, the defense is at his mercy, having to figure out exactly what he will do—from a jaw-dropping middy to a dazzling step-back three. Devin is a master at using pace, space, and his body to help get to his spots. Devin's mindset is to keep it simple and focus on the little things, which give him an advantage over players that are bigger or more athletic.

Devin is averaging 15.5 points, 4.5 boards, and 2 assists per game while shooting 53% from two and 38% from three. The biggest thing Devin is focusing on is developing his overall strength. He knows it always pays off to be the stronger player. His biggest goal this season is to get to the Glass House and make a deep postseason run. Standing in their way is their opposite region, packed with skilled, big, and athletic teams.

Devin’s biggest accomplishments so far have been earning a starting role as a freshman at a 4A school and attending the Jay Bilas Camp in Davidson, North Carolina, last summer. This year, he has shown significant growth by getting stronger and holding his ground against bigger players, making him more effective on both ends of the floor.

The thing that fires Devin up the most is competition. The chance to go head-to-head with skilled opponents brings out his best. He thrives on the challenge and sees every game as an opportunity to prove himself.

The biggest game Devin is looking forward to this season is against Coffee County. It’s a heated border battle that has been intense for as long as he can remember. With over 2,500 fans packing the gym, it’s a can’t-miss matchup that Devin circles on his calendar every year.

Devin suffered an injury that sidelined him for a while, and it took a toll on him at first. He didn’t feel like himself without the spring he relied on. However, he focused on getting into rehab every day to speed up his recovery and get back on the court to help his team.

Since returning, Devin has been motivated by the desire to show everyone that he belongs. He’s determined to prove he’s one of the best guards in the state and wants his name to be respected. Staying in the gym and working on his craft has kept him consistent and ready to perform.

Some of the things Devin enjoys outside of basketball include spending time with friends and family and playing video games when he’s at home.

For Devin to reach the next level, he knows it will take countless hours of hard work and dedication. While his ultimate goal is to play DI basketball, he remains open to competing at any level where he can make an impact. Several schools have already shown interest, and he’s hoping to set up visits this spring.

I assess that Devin, since his return, has elevated his game and is helping his team compete at a high level. His confident swagger is earned through his play, and the adversity he faced has only fueled his determination. Devin’s hunger to improve and make an impact is evident every time he steps on the court. Devin will be a steal for the program that lands him. This is just the beginning, and there’s no doubt he’s on the rise. Stay tuned—there’s much more to come.
