Aydin is a crafty and electric guard who keeps defenses on edge. His ability to drain shots from deep forces defenders to respect his range, but his quick first step and his sick handles make him just as dangerous off the dribble. Aydin doesn’t just get past defendersusing his blow-byspeed, turning routine possessions into highlight-worthy moments. His feel for the game is dynamic, constantly reading defenses and finding seams that most players don’t even see. What makes Aydin even tougher to guard is his confidence. He attacks with a fearless mentality, never hesitating to make a move, even after a mistake. The ball is an extension of his hands, and when he's in control, the game moves at his rhythm.
This past season, Aydin averaged an impressive 16 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 3.4 steals per game, proving his ability to impact every part of the floor. His biggest improvement was in handling pressure; whether facing double teams or aggressive on-ball defenders, he maintained his poise and found ways to create. Aydin also extended his shooting range, forcing defenders to pick their poison. His main focus heading into the offseason is sharpening his decision-making as a point guard, particularly in the pick-and-roll, where he’s working on making quicker reads. One of the most defining moments of his season was his return from injury, an instant spark for his team that led to a turnaround in the win column. His presence alone lifted the squad, a testament to his leadership and impact.
While he remains undecided on his AAU team this summer, Aydin is eager to get back to work. Next season, he’s looking forward to learning from the experienced guards on his new team, studying their tendencies, and adding layers to his own game. It’s an opportunity for him to grow, take pieces of their style, and mold them into his own arsenal. His goal is simple: elevate his game, take command, and lead his team to success.
Off the court, Aydin enjoys life just as much as he enjoys the game. Whether it's relaxing with friends, diving into other interests, or simply taking a step back to recharge, he understands the importance of balance. His love for basketball runs deep, but he knows the value of keeping his mind fresh and focused.
What fuels Aydin the most is defense, locking down his matchup, forcing bad shots, and frustrating opposing coaches to the point of shouting at their players. That’s when he knows he’s making a real impact. He thrives on competition and takes pride in being the player who dictates the flow of the game, not just offensively but on both ends of the floor. When adversity strikes, Aydin doesn’t shy away. He embraces it, finds the solution, and battles through. There’s no quitting, only adjusting and overcoming. The best advice Aydin has ever received is, "Don’t let your mind hinder your talent. Your mind can be your worst enemy." Those words have stuck with him, and he approaches the game and his growth as a player with that in mind.
