Semar Flugence

@Semarflugence25

6’4", 170 lbs | Class of 2025

Episcopal School of Acadiana, LA

Semar is a dynamic triple-threat scoring option with athleticism, speed, and skill. Semar is explosively attacking the lane and is a rim-rattling finisher. Semar flexes his versatility in various ways, making him a constant threat and leaving defenders guessing, given his three-point shooting ability and solid middy. Semar can drop a nice dime, but that defense is special. Semar is a ruthless shot blocker who jumps passing lanes instinctively, turning defense in high fly finishes.

This season, Semar is averaging 17 points and 7 rebounds per game. Semar's mid-range jumper has been his biggest improvement and has become a critical part of his game. It’s a weapon that keeps defenses honest and opens up opportunities for him to attack.

Semar thrives on competition and uses doubt as motivation; these are what fire him up the most. Semar brings an edge to the game that few can match. The fire to prove himself and gain respect fuels his performance every time he steps on the floor.

Last season, Semar averaged 14 points per game while playing alongside a senior guard who averaged 20. As his role expanded, he became a key scoring option and earned second-team All-District honors.

Semar's biggest accomplishment last year wasn’t personal, though. Helping his team reach the third round of the playoffs stands out as a highlight. It took teamwork and resilience. Despite being part of a young team, Semar has embraced the leadership role and the challenges that come with it.

Adversity has been a recurring theme for Semar and his teammates this season. Early setbacks tested their character as a team, but they learned quickly. Every game is a chance to grow, and Semar approaches it with the mindset of improving daily. For Semar, failure is an opportunity to learn and come back stronger. He values the lessons learned from tough losses more than the comfort of easy wins.

Semar understands that reaching the next level will require hard work and late nights. Senar knows success won’t come easily but is prepared for the grind. Semar isn't locked on at any division level, but he dominates every game, validating that he belongs on the next level.

Semar holds one offer from Dean College but is determined to make the most of every opportunity this season and let his skills open more doors for him.

The future looks bright for Semar as he continues to evolve his game and lead his team. Semar has the talent, athleticism, defense, and drive to thrive now and on the next level. Semar checks every box and is a coach's dream—tremendous potential to be a high-level talent. Semar’s journey is one you gotta lock-in. Stay tuned.
