Hatim is a high IQ combo guard who is lighting quick off the bounce and a fierce finisher at the rim even through contact. Hatim can also step outside and use that silky smooth touch to bring the rain from downtown as a master catch-and-shoot specialist. Hatin is also crafty coming off screens. But Hatim is an all-around guard that can play both the 1 and 2 and guard all the positions except the 5. Hatim is a lockdown defender. Despite his shooting ability Hatin considers himself a pass-first guard while also making the correct reads to know when it's time to score and pass. Hatim thinks of himself as an extension of the coach on the court. One of Hatim's biggest strengths is being able to finish over much taller players and can make plays off the drives and kicks.

This past season Hatim averaged 18 points, 5.5 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game. The most motivating thing that happened last season that will push Hatim moving forward was when they lost by 40. That pushed Hatim and his teammates to work much harder to prevent that from happening again. Hatim goals for this season are to average at least 7 assists and 22+ PPG while shooting at least 35% from the 3-point. Hatim also wants to go undefeated in his varsity season and win MVP.

Hatim played club basketball with Baniyas Club U19 in the UAE basketball league. His focus area for improvement was shooting off the dribble more in games and improving his defensive stamina. Hatim worked harder on his game and his weaknesses such as finishing with his left hand consistently.

On the court getting big defensive stops fuels Hatim. Making a big play on offense such as a nice pass, tough finish or 3-pointer also gets him fired up and motivated.

On the court, Hatim handles adversity by telling himself it's okay. Then moving on to the next play instead of staying hung up over a few bad plays.

Another thing that sets Hatim apart is his confidence on the court. He believes in himself. A coach can expect Hatim to be 100% coachable and always make the right plays especially on defense as he takes pride in defense. That is what he thinks sets him apart from other players. Hatim knows how basketball is played and he plays it the CORRECT way to win. Another thing that sets Hatim apart is the fact that he is extremely confident on the court.

Hatim sees himself playing Division 2 or 3 or NAIA.

I assess Hatim can compete and score effectively even against bigger players. He has a defensive swagger to match his offensive energy. He plays at a high level and certainly impact a team on the next level. Hatim is hungry and likely to have a huge upcoming season which could open some nice doors for him. Stay tuned.
