A lethal three-point sniper, he stretches defenses with deep-range shooting while keeping them on their heels with aggressive drives. His finishing ability is fierce, whether he's absorbing contact at the rim or slicing through traffic, he delivers with power and precision. His versatility is undeniable, making him a constant threat in any offensive set. Whether creating space for a dagger jumper or catching defenders off guard with a quick change of pace, Ryder’s game is built for impact.
This season, Ryder made his presence known, averaging 13 to 15 points per game while earning multiple Player of the Game honors at the varsity level. His biggest improvement has been his ability to control the game with his growing strength and confidence, proving he’s more than just a young talent but a difference-maker. Ryder's offseason focus is developing more power, gaining height and mass, and evolving into a physically dominant player. But what fuels his fire is doubt. Being told his team is too young or that they can’t compete at the highest level only pushes him harder. He thrives on proving people wrong, using every bit of skepticism as motivation. Handling adversity has never been an issue. Ryder's experience on the court has taught him to stay composed, keep emotions in check, and let his game do the talking.
On the AAU circuit, Ryder runs with Midwest Cincinnati Elite 15U, where the competition is fierce, and the expectations are even higher. His goal is to dominate on the travel circuit, sharpen his all-around game, and go head-to-head with the best talent in the country. With a chip on his shoulder and a game built for the big stage, Ryder is using every opportunity to elevate his skill set and prepare for what’s ahead. Ryder is determined to help his team make a deep run through the regional tournament and punch a ticket to the state tournament in Kentucky. With a young core gaining experience, the future looks bright, and he’s set on leading the charge.
I assess that Ryder’s skill set speaks volumes about his next-level potential.
