Relentless Energy and a Rising Force: The Competitive Edge Redefined

Relentless Energy and a Rising Force: The Competitive Edge Redefined

Bryson Dails is a dynamic triple-threat scoring machine. Bryson may not be the flashiest kid on the court, but he can shoot the cover off the ball, which is why he is a freshman starting on varsity. Bryson has a high IQ, reads the defense well, and uses good court vision to deliver some nice passes. Bryson brings intensity, grit, and energy to the floor and loves to let that dog out to eat.

Last season, Bryson averaged 5 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. His biggest improvement has been his ability to create his own shots. Already, the hard work is paying off as Bryson is averaging 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists through the few scrimmages. This special talent on a loaded team will make plenty of noise in what promises to be a monster season. The team has the potential for a deep postseason run and is highly motivated to face Magoffin County, the team that beat them in the 15th Region Championship game last year. Watching their rivals celebrate was the most motivating moment for Bryson, fueling his fire and determination on the court. He never wants to feel the pain of losing that regional championship game again.

Bryson handles adversity by not making excuses and staying disciplined all the time. A coach can expect Bryson to give 110% every second he is on the floor and remain coachable in every situation. The best advice Bryson has ever been given by a coach is to stay disciplined and always be coachable, and he still lives by those words today.

Bryson’s advice to those coming behind him is to never take for granted the opportunity they have every time they step on the court and to give 100% every single time. He can see himself playing on any division level and not only competing but thriving. Bryson isn’t locked in on one specific level but is focused on being the best he can be, confident the rest will take care of itself. For a program to stand out to him, Bryson values genuine interest, visits, consistent communication, and staying in touch.

My assessment of Bryson is that he is a prime-time performer who loves to step up in big moments and deliver whatever his team needs. Early on, Bryson already displays strong leadership ability and a fierce winning mentality. Bryson is a special talent with the skill and IQ to reach the high-level potential that can open huge doors for him in basketball. He plays way beyond his age and is only going to get better and better. As a freshman on a loaded team, Bryson still stands out as one of the best, which makes a statement and validates his high-level playing ability. Keep a close eye on Bryson and get him on the big boards as we track him for years to come. Stay tuned.
