Cody s a force in constant motion. His game is built on relentless energy, strong instincts, and an explosive ability to find openings before the defense even reacts. His off-ball movement is electric, creating scoring chances with smooth cuts and well-timed attacks. When the ball is in his hands, his mid-range jumper is deadly as he elevates over defenders with confidence and drains shots that leave opponents scrambling. On the defensive end, he is a fierce competitor, using his length and timing to disrupt plays, block shots, and force turnovers. His motor never stops ,making him a dynamic two-way player who thrives on both ends of the court.
This past season, Cody averaged 11.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 0.4 blocks, and 1.7 steals per game, but his production soared in AAU competition. With the Mavericks, he posted 17.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 0.8 blocks, and 1.6 steals, while with TNT, he delivered 14.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 0.7 blocks, and 1.8 steals per game. His biggest improvement wasn’t just statistical but mental. He shifted to a growth mindset, unlocking a newfound confidence and freedom in his play. His offseason focus is locked in on improving his on-ball defense, ensuring he becomes just as dangerous guarding the ball as he is playing help-side. Cody's biggest motivation is he roar of the crowd, the presence of his family in the stands, and the adrenaline rush of stepping onto the court with something to prove.
On the AAU circuit, Cody has tested his skills against high-level competition, using every game as a proving ground. His goal is to continue elevating his game and showcase his ability against top talent. He thrives in high-pressure matchups, especially against rivals like the Osage Indians, a team that has fueled his competitive fire year after year. The grind doesn’t sstop Cody knows that success requires sacrifice, dedication, and relentless work in the gym. He sees himself laying at the next level, he’s putting in the work to as an NAIA or D2 prospect, with interest already coming from Quincy University, Culver-Stockton College, and Evangel University.
Cody doesn’t shy away from adversity. Instead, he embraces it, using every setback as fuel to push forward. His approach is that istakes are lessons, not roadblocks. Whether it’s an off night or a tough loss, he resets, learns, and comes back stronger. The best advice Cody has ever rreceivedis , You will miss thousands of shots and make a thousand mistakes, but you can’t let it dictate your next step forward.” That mentality drives him to keep improving, to outwork the competition, and to prove his worth on every possession.
For college programs looking for a player who brings energy, hustle, and a scoring punch, Cody’s skill set translates well. His ability to move without the ball, knock down mid-range shots, and disrupt opponents defensively makes him a valuable asset. As he continues to improve his on-ball defense and developing his playmaking, he could be an impact player who thrives in an up-tempo system that values movement, defensive intensity, and players who can create opportunities beyond just handling the ball.
Expect Cody's stock to continueto rise. His goal of hitting 1,000 career points is within reach, and his determination to earn All-State, All-Conference, or All-District honors is a driving force. With another year of hard work and offseason dedication, his ceiling is sky-high. Cody's skill set, mindset, and hunger for success make him a player to watch as he continues making waves on the court. Stay tuned.
