Drew is a tough, gritty combo that is a fierce and scrappy leader. Drew is ultra-aggressive, attacking the rim with nasty handles and crafty moves, and can deliver some sweet dimes. But Drew thrives in being the ultimate blue-collar stud who loves the dirty work. Mixing it up battling with the bigs for boards. Being around all the loose balls willing to sacrifice his body for one more position. But his calling card is tenacious, lockdown defense. No one on the floor will ever outwork Drew on either end of the court. A physical presence that imposes his will every chance he gets. Loves competing with the purpose of owning whomever he faces.
The most motivating thing that happened to Drew last season that will push him moving forward is his coach from high school told him that he thinks he can be 1st team all-conference, so Drew has been working extremely hard to get to that. Drew's goal this upcoming season is to be the leader of his team and encourage people even though he is not as old as everyone. Drew also hopes to never let his coach or team down and stay consistent with his play.
Playing AAU for the Wisconsin Playmakers. Drew's goal is to become a major part of defense while working on attacking the hoop and looking to score before kicking out this upcoming session in' '25.
What fuels Drew the most is when someone beats him, motivating him to come back down on offense and beat them there and then get back on defense and beat them there again, If someone beats him once, they won't beat him next time, determined he will come back and beat them.
When facing adversity, Drew finds ways to contribute. If he is not scoring, he will get others open and get them good looks, if he can’t dribble well in one game, he will go and set picks and rebound and get the ball up and down the court. Drew just finds ways to get others involved.
What set Drew apart from others is his Ironman toughness and grit. Drew is determined to outwork everyone on the court; Drew doesn't think any player is better or stronger than him despite their size or position, and that mindset will not change at any time.
Drew can see himself at a solid D2 school because that’s where his teammate he played against in high school went, and he feels like he is as good or even better than he is.
I assess that Drew is a difference-maker as a defensive stud and from a blue-collar perspective. That gritty DOGGG mentality is something you can't teach and separation between average players and really good players. Drew is still developing, which means the potential to excel is extremely high, and there is room to evolve his skills even more. I see that Drew can go much higher than a D2 as he continues to add to his arsenal and builds in that DOGGG swagger. That competitive edge and willingness to do all the dirty work adds to his stock and value and he has the size and athleticism to back up the bark into a nasty bit!! This young star is one to lock in and keep a serious eye on. I will be revising often to update you all on him throughout his journey. It's going to be a must-see TV. Stay tuned!!
