Ethan is an electric, dynamic, and explosive young talent who doesn’t just command the field, but designed to take itt over. From the moment he touches the ball, there's a quiet storm brewing, fueled by a lethal combination of calm command and surgical precision. His footwork is tight, his reads are clean, and when it’s time to let it rip, he delivers with poise and power well beyond his years. What separates Ethan from the rest isn't just the talent, it's the way he dissects defenses with the mind of a seasoned pro. He sees the game through a different lens, understanding disguise, leverage, and coverage rotations. tools rarely mastered by players his age.
In 7v7 play alone, Ethan has thrown a blistering 97 touchdowns against only 7 interceptions, leading Blitz 7v7 of Greenville, SC, a nationally ranked program, to a top-25 status in the country. But those numbers only scratch the surface. His biggest improvement over the past year was his arm strength and unwavering confidence. He's now hitting every throw in the book: deep posts, quick outs, touch fades, and lasers over the middle, stretching the field at will. But it’s the belief in himself, forged through reps and relentless work, that powers his climb. While others fill weekends with 7v7 to stay sharp, Ethan is doing things differently this offseason, focusing on individual development, strength training, and high-level camps that fine-tune his craft for the long run.
Off the field, his connection to faith grounds him. That quiet time with God fuels a strong inner fire, while adversity serves as motivation rather than a roadblock. Losses sting, but they don't linger. They drive him. And when opponents talk, it only adds fuel to the fire pushing him to outthink, outwork, and outplay every team in his path. From a coaching standpoint, he's the kind of athlete who shows up early, knows the system, and leads with his presence. He stays even-keeled, thrives under pressure, and brings a contagious calm that steadies his team.
Ethan dreams of playing Di1 football, but remains wide open to any school that believes in his ability and offers a chance to compete for free. He knows what it will take, adding strength, size, and speed, but with the foundation already in place, he’s all in. He credits his steady rise to the support of his close-knit family and his longtime trainer, Coach Walter Gary of Upper Echelon, who has poured years into his development since age 7.
When it comes to choosing a future home, it’s more than just gear and glitz. Ethan values a family atmosphere and one that feels like home, where relationships matter and brotherhoods are built. He’s focused on putting Hillcrest on the map and helping deliver a state title to his hometown before graduation. For now, the goal is to stay locked in, stay humble, and let the work speak.
I assess that Ethan is a polished, cerebral quarterback with one of the most complete pre-snap approaches you’ll find at the middle school level. His command of the game, especially reading defensive rotations and disguises, is advanced for his age, and his willingness to dive into the mental side of football sets him apart. His ability to stay calm in chaotic moments and lead from within is something programs at all levels should have their eyes on. He’s not just another athletic kid with a big arm but a student of the game and a true quarterback.
Ethan projects as a high-upside dual-threat quarterback whose play style fits today’s fast-paced offensive systems. His strong pocket presence, ability to manipulate defenders with his eyes, and quick release make him a natural fit in tempo-driven schemes. With continued physical development and exposure at camps, he could grow into a dangerous weapon for a college program in the coming years. Coaches looking for a high-IQ, highly coachable signal-caller with long-term upside should keep Ethan on their radar.
Expect Ethan to continue evolving physically and mentally. As his body matures and his frame fills out, his throws will become even more explosive. With elite-level coaching and national 7v7 experience already under his belt, he’s well-positioned to make a serious run through high school and into college football. His ceiling is high and he’s just getting started. Stay tuned!
