Demetrius is electric from the moment the ball is snapped. A force on both sides of the ball, his presence is impossible to ignore. Offensively, he’s a nightmare matchup, being strong, disciplined, and instinctive in his route running. His ability to create separation and high-point the football makes him a constant deep threat. When the ball is in the air, it’s his. Defensively, he’s a heat-seeking missile, diagnosing plays with sharp instincts and closing in with the kind of physicality that makes receivers second-guess crossing his path. His size, speed, and IQ make him a difference-maker in every phase of the game, and his competitive fire only adds to the relentless edge he brings. A coach getting Demetrius is getting a player who plays with passion, precision, and pure aggression.

Competing in 7-on-7 with Wipe Me Down Boyz is only sharpening his already dynamic skill set. He thrives on competition, squaring up against some of the best and pushing himself to new heights. His biggest leap from last season came in overcoming adversity. Missing the first half of his season due to transfer rules was the ultimate test of patience and hunger, and rather than letting it break him, he used it as fuel. Now, his mentality is even stronger. For Demetrius, every snap is a statement. The stats tell the story of his impact, but the intangibles make him even more dangerous. His route running has tightened, his separation ability is elite, and his understanding of defensive coverages allows him to manipulate matchups before the ball is even snapped.

The fire that burns in Demetrius comes from his love of the game and the intensity it allows him to unleash. Lining up against an opponent, seeing one-on-one coverage, and knowing he’s going to win that battle every time that’s what drives him. On defense, the ability to hit, to impose his will, and to make an offense feel his presence fuels his game even more. When adversity comes, Demetrius attacks it head-on. There’s no sidestepping or slowing down; his mindset is to push through and come out better on the other side. That’s why he’s confident in his ability to play D I football. Competing at the highest level is the only option in his mind, and he’s fully aware of what it will take to get there: relentless work, dedication, training, and responding to challenges with the right mentality.

What sets Demetrius apart from others at his position is not just his size and physicality but his presence. He plays with an edge, with violent hands, elite ball skills, and an intensity that never fades. His best advice to younger players is to stay the course, put in the work, and always know that preparation breeds confidence. He’s been on multiple D I visits, including stops at Washington, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington State, and Utah. Each visit has only reinforced his drive to compete at the next level, and what stands out to him in a program is a staff that truly believes in him, supports his goals, and provides a strong academic foundation for his future.

I assess that Demetrius’ skill set is tailor-made for the next level. His combination of size, speed, and football IQ makes him an asset in multiple roles. As a receiver, his ability to create space, track the ball, and win contested catches would make him a reliable target in any offensive scheme. His route discipline and physicality allow him to be a true chain-mover and big-play threat. Defensively, his ability to read plays, cover ground quickly, and deliver punishing hits makes him a standout. He’s a two-way weapon, and at the collegiate level, his versatility could be a game-changer.

The ceiling is high, and Demetrius is only scratching the surface. His continued development in technique, explosiveness, and game IQ will only make him more dangerous. With the right strength program and refinement at the college level, his impact will skyrocket. Expect him to be a tone-setter, whether that’s as a punishing defender or a go-to target in the passing game. The hunger, the fire, the physicality, it’s all there. His future isn’t just bright; it’s explosive. Stay tuned.
