Jaxon's offensive arsenal thrives on attacking the lane, where his explosiveness and athletic ability shine in the middy or crafty finishes at the rim. Jaxon can also be a sniper from three-point range with a silky smooth touch that punishes defenders for leaving him open. Jaxson’s high basketball IQ and great court vision are hallmarks of his unselfish play, always looking for open or cutting teammates to rack up easy points. Defensively, Jaxon is a menace. His gritty style not only disrupts opponents but also helps him gobble up rebounds with relentless energy. Jaxon’s relentless drive begins in the gym, where he puts in countless hours with trainers Matt Perry, Terry Jackson, Isaiah Smith, and Zaner Carter. This dedication has transformed not only his skills but also his confidence and mental toughness. The foundation of his game is built on preparation, leaving no room for doubt when he steps onto the court. Yet, Jaxon emphasizes balance, holding steadfast to the principle that the classroom comes first. For him, academics matter as much as athletics, with his GPA standing as a testament to his discipline and focus.
This past summer, Jaxon competed at the prestigious MADE Hoops camp in Louisville, testing his skills against some of the best talent in the nation. That experience solidified his belief that he belongs at the top level, sparking a deeper resolve to bring that competitive spirit back to Belfry. His goal? To lead by example with tough defense, relentless hustle, and domination on the boards, inspiring his teammates to match his intensity. Belfry’s team chemistry, rooted in years of playing together, will be a key factor this season. Though young and starting fresh with new players and coaches, Jaxon sees endless potential for growth.
Last season Jaxon averaged 8.6points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. Jaxson elevated his game in the AAU session averaged 14 points , 8 rebounds, 4 assists , and 3 steals per game. And now all the training and hard work is clearly evident in his early preseason by averaging 18 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists , and 3 steals setting the stage for a breakout senior season.
Leadership is an evolving strength for Jaxon as he steps out of his comfort zone to become a more vocal presence on and off the court. He understands that success isn’t always about having the most talent but about a team peaking at the right moment. His AAU season reflected this mindset, as he balanced honing his game, connecting with teammates, and competing at a high level to gain exposure.
A true three-level scorer, Jaxon’s versatility makes him a constant threat. Whether shooting from deep, attacking the rim, or locking down opponents with gritty defense, his all-around game is undeniable. His willingness to dive for loose balls, scrap for rebounds, and do the dirty work demonstrates his commitment to winning. Jaxon thrives in proving skeptics wrong, fueled by the work he puts in daily. Returning to his roots allows him to play his style of basketball—complete, physical, and fearless.
