Josh is an electric combo guard who is a nightmare for defenses. His quickness, athleticism, and elite shooting make him nearly impossible to contain. He’s a lethal catch-and-shoot sniper but just as deadly off the dribble, able to rise up for a silky pull-up jumper or attack the rim with fearless, crafty finishes. His handles are shifty, his first step is explosive, and his court vision is next-level used when threading dazzling passes through tight windows. Defenders are left scrambling, forced to choose between giving him space and getting torched from three or closing out and watching him blow by with his smooth handles. When defenses adjust, he makes them pay by setting up teammates with sweet dimes. Josh isn’t just a scoring machine but he’s also a tenacious defender and solid rebounder, proving he’s built to impact both ends of the floor.
Josh averaged 14 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals per game, showing off his ability to run the show or play off the ball. His biggest improvement this season was transforming from a pure scorer into a complete, do-it-all guard who can adjust to any game. This offseason, Josh is focused on tightening his handle and getting stronger, knowing those improvements will elevate his game even further. Josh's fire comes from proving doubters wrong and simply getting to compete every time he steps on the court. When adversity hits, Josh keeps his focus, controls what he can, and stays a dependable teammate. The best advice Josh has ever received is, "You get out what you put in." That's real talk and the mindset Josh needs to stay focused on to fuel him every day as he grinds toward his goals.
Josh is gearing up for a huge AAU season with Middleton Hoops Elite on the EYBL circuit, aiming to make Peach Jam and earn more interest and offers. Josh's long-term focus is locked in on next year’s playoffs, where he knows he can truly prove himself. With each game, each practice, and each rep, he’s building toward something bigger, hungry to take the next step in his evolution.
I assess that Josh’s blend of scoring, playmaking, and defensive intensity makes him a high-impact guard for the next level. His shooting ability alone is a weapon, but when combined with his blow-by speed and court vision, he becomes a nightmare for defenses. Josh's development as a complete playmaker has taken his game to another level, making him a legitimate dual-threat guard who can create for himself and others. His ability to handle adversity and stay locked in on his goals shows a level of maturity that will translate well to the college game.
We can expect to see a stronger, more polished version of Josh as he continues to grow and develop out there. As Josh continues to build strength and tighter ball-handling, he’ll be even more difficult to contain. Josh's leadership will be key as he takes on a bigger role, setting the tone for his team both on and off the court. With his relentless work ethic and dynamic skill set, he’s poised to make a serious impact as he pushes toward his next-level goals.
