There’s a storm brewing every time Hunter steps on the court. A 6’6” force of nature with an explosive blend of length, grit, and athleticism. His game is electric, and his presence is impossible to ignore. With a versatile skill set that allows him to dominate in the paint or face up and attack off the bounce, he’s both a physical mismatch and a crafty playmaker. He battles relentlessly on both ends, imposing his will inside while staying light on his feet with sick handles and instincts to keep defenders off balance. From grabbing boards in traffic to taking his man off the dribble, Hunter brings a fierce energy that never lets up and makes him one of the most dynamic forwards in his class.
After putting up just six points per game at the JV level, Hunter didn’t just adjust to varsity he found a way to make some noise. Averaging 11.1 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists, he showed he can impact the game in every area. That leap didn’t happen by accident. His biggest improvement was his confidence, learning to trust his skills and respond to the belief others had in him. Now, the offseason is about one thing: becoming a knockdown shooter. He’s putting in the reps to become a high-percentage scorer from deep and a consistent weapon all over the floor. His focus next season is to bring home a district title, push for a regional championship, and continue showing why he's a problem for anyone guarding him.
This spring and summer, Hunter will play with Midwest Basketball Club Cincy MHC, where he’s locked in on getting his name out there and letting people see just how dangerous his game really is. He’s determined to raise his profile and become an even better teammate by doing the dirty work, making the extra pass, and playing with pride. The Made Hoops Circuit is circled on his calendar; it’s the platform he’s most looking forward to because the talent is top-tier and every game is a chance to shine.
Off the court, Hunter enjoys downtime with friends, staying active, and keeping his circle tight. But when the lights come on, he’s fueled by something deeper. The bench energy, the shouting, the clapping, the belief, that’s what fires him up. When the gym is alive and his teammates are riding the wave with him, Hunter takes it to another level. And when facing adversity , he’s built to bounce back. He focuses on what’s ahead, not what just happened. The next play is always more important than the last. And that mindset is locked in by his dad, who always tells him: “The game is 80% mental, 20% physical.” That wisdom keeps him grounded, focused, and ready for whatever comes his way.
I assess that Hunter brings a rare blend of size, versatility, and relentless effort. His ability to battle inside, run the floor, and create off the bounce makes him a valuable piece in any lineup. He’s still developing physically but already plays with power and instinct well beyond his age. He impacts every phase of the game, rebounding, scoring, facilitating and does it with poise and purpose. As his shot becomes more consistent, his offensive ceiling will keep rising.
Colleges looking for a frontcourt player with a modern game and an edge will find Hunter impossible to overlook. He’s not locked into one role but he can switch, stretch the floor, and make plays in transition. His presence alone changes how opponents attack the paint, and his motor ensures he’s always in the action. As he continues to grow into his frame and polish his skill set, he projects as a difference-maker at the next level.
Expect intensity. Expect production. Expect growth. Hunter is only getting started, and his potential is as big as his game. With the work he’s putting in and the fire that drives him, there’s no question, he’s coming for everything. Stay tuned.
