Forest Hills Northern, MI
Cameron is a sniper with unlimited range, a high-IQ guard whose 3-point shooting can turn momentum in a flash. But don’t box him in cause he’s more than just a shooter. He’s a confident playmaker with fierce passing instincts and a developing slasher who’s learning to break defenders down and finish at the rim with power. His game flows with rhythm and control, and when he gets hot from beyond the arc, he sets the whole gym on fire. Cameron doesn’t just handle pressure but thrives in it, using his size and vision to create windows others can’t. With his improved strength and vocal leadership, he’s emerging as a force on both ends of the floor.
After growing nearly five inches and adding 30 pounds since his freshman season, Cameron’s transformation has paid off in a major way. He can now hold his ground defensively and attack the basket with confidence, complementing his already dangerous outside shot. His focus this offseason is to become more aggressive off the bounce, tighten his control of the game, and take on more point guard responsibilities. Beating a longtime rival in the district tournament, then watching the crowd erupt, was a moment that showed him just how powerful team chemistry and grit can be. Now, his hunger for the spotlight burns even brighter.
Cameron plays for West Michigan Premier and is aiming to help his squad stack wins while tightening up his defense and rim pressure. He averaged 20 points per game this last tournament while shooting a scorching 57% from three for the weekend. He’s excited to take on elite competition at NY2LA events, where he’ll get the chance to showcase his full skillset and raise eyebrows among college coaches. As his junior year approaches, he's locked in on leading Forest Hills Northern back into the postseason picture and proving just how much ground he's covered since last year.
Off the court, Cameron carries a 3.94 GPA and has been fluent in Spanish since kindergarten through an immersion program, another sign of his consistency, discipline, and commitment to learning at a high level. He’s driven by getting hot and firing up his team, and he handles adversity with calm, breathing through the chaos and trusting in his work. The best advice he's ever received is, “Play off two feet”, and it’s showing in his ability to stay balanced, composed, and crafty in traffic.
I assess that Cameron brings a high ceiling and a floor that’s already solid, thanks to his size, shooting, and discipline. His court vision, growing handle, and vocal leadership give him the potential to command an offense, while his ability to play off the ball makes him a plug-and-play piece for a variety of systems.
Expect Cameron to be a breakout name over the next two seasons. With his growing confidence, physical maturity, and deep shooting range, he’s on the path to becoming a complete two-way guard that programs at the next level will love. His blend of academics, bilingual ability, and basketball IQ make him the full package. Get this rising young star locked in on your radar now. But know, he’s just getting started. Stay tuned.
