Drew is explosive, electric, and relentless. He is the kind of player who turns the game on its head in an instant. A fierce competitor with a motor that never stops, he thrives in the chaos of fast breaks and defensive battles, always ready to make a play when his team needs it most. His quick hands and sharp instincts allow him to snatch steals at just the right moment, while his fierce ball-handling and dazzling passing keep defenders guessing. Whether he’s threading a needle with a slick assist or pulling up for his signature head fake into a floater, Drew’s presence on the court is dynamic, disruptive, and game-changing.

His freshman season was a proving ground, a fast-paced, physical shift from middle school basketball to varsity-level intensity. Drew averaged 5.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per contest while shooting 40% from the field in 16 minutes a game. More than just stats, it was the way he played that stood out by bringing energy, making momentum-shifting plays, and stepping up in crunch time. As the season progressed, so did his confidence, transforming him from a young prospect into a true difference-maker.

The offseason is all about elevation. Strength is a priority, and the weight room is calling. Getting stronger will allow him to absorb contact, finish tougher plays, and stand his ground against bigger, more physical defenders. Beyond that, Drew is locked in on refining his shot off the dribble, adding another weapon to his offensive arsenal. He’s already a defensive disruptor, but becoming a more polished scorer and playmaker will only solidify his ability to control the game from the backcourt.

AAU ball with Lakeside Basketball provides another opportunity to sharpen his skills and elevate his game. Competing against top-tier talent fuels him, pushing him to evolve as a passer and finisher. He thrives in the high-energy atmosphere of travel ball, where every game is a new challenge, and every tournament brings fresh competition. This season, he’s embracing a bigger role both as a leader and a playmaker while also relishing the chance to share the court with his older brother one last time.

Off the court, Drew enjoys the brotherhood basketball brings just as much as the competition. The bond with teammates, the road trips, and the intensity of tournament play are all part of the experience that keeps him locked in and hungry for more. But what really fuels Drew's fire is doubt. When someone underestimates him, it only adds fuel to his competitive drive. He lives for proving people wrong, for stepping onto the court, and showing exactly what he's capable of. Handling adversity is all about blocking out the noise and putting in the work, focusing on effort, attitude, and controlling what he can control. That’s the best advice he’s ever received, and he carries it with him every time he laces up.

I assess that Drew’s skill set makes him a high-energy guard capable of impacting both ends of the floor. His defensive instincts and quick hands create instant chaos for opponents, while his ability to handle the ball and facilitate adds versatility to any lineup. As he builds strength and elevates his offensive attack, his ability to dictate pace and change the course of a game will only grow stronger. A college program would benefit from his relentless effort, defensive tenacity, and ability to make game-winning plays in high-pressure moments.

Expect Drew to continue to evolve his game, embracing a bigger role with confidence and aggression. With increased strength and an improved scoring arsenal, he’ll be a more dominant two-way force who can swing momentum with a single play. His potential is sky-high, and as he continues to develop, there’s no doubt he’ll be a name to watch in the years ahead. Stay tuned.
