Whisler is a dynamic playmaker and a total game changer.  He was so dominating on the court, that the High School Varsity team brought him up to play Varsity as an 8th grader.  He is fierce when attacking the lane, and masterfully creates smart shots for himself, as well as setting up his teammates with some seriously slick passing.  He said he sees himself as a pass-first PG even though he is a good shooter, and he thrives most with his ball handling. He feels he plays perimeter defense well, but the thing he has been working on the most is finishing strong to the hoop, especially against much bigger, stronger opponents.

This past season Noah averaged 7.1 points, 3.3 assists, 2.5 rebounds, 2.2 steals, 0.1 blocks in 22 games, all while playing on the Varsity team as an 8th grader!  He was actually averaging 10 points a game, but he hurt his ankle and that injury limited his playing time. He still finished first on the team in assists per game, and second in steals. Even more impressive was that he was 3rd in his entire district for assists per game, and 1st in his district for assists to turnover ratio.  That is absolutely incredible for a kid playing up against kids 4-5 years older than him.

He recalls one time this past season, when an opposing player, who happened to be a senior, was talking trash to him. The opposing player kept saying that he couldn't score, and yet throughout the game, Whisler blew by each one of the opposing players.  His goals for this upcoming season are to average 20 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds per game.

Playing AAU for Florida Flight Basketball Academy Noah's goals are to get his team on a shoe circuit, or for him to personally get invited to play on a shoe circuit team. He wants to try to get as much exposure as possible, and show coaches exactly what he is capable of doing on the court. What fuels the fire within him the most is his passion to win. He just loves to compete and he loves watching his team get those dubs. This kid is going to bring his “A game” every single time.

When asked what a coach can expect from him, he said “A great hustler, communicator, and teammate, who is extremely coachable and wants to get better.” I can only imagine how good this kid is going to be by the time his senior year rolls around. I will be keeping a very close eye on this kid, as his career is just beginning to blossom.
